Welcome to our 2010 season!

We planted close to 3000 new grape plants this year. Tomatoes, zucchini, and other summer vegetables are doing well, and we had some tasty strawberries.

Las Parras is one of the sponsors of the
Abiquiu Chamber Music Festival
, now in its third season. Check their calendar -- maybe you can catch one of the outstanding performances by world-renowned musicians.

If you're planning your vacation for October, be sure to include The Abiquiu Studio Tour which we also support. A number of local artists display their work at our property which is Stop #26 on the Studio Tour Map.

On the weekend of October 2 and 3, you can visit The El Rito Studio Tour. El Rito is a picturesque little town about 20 min. away from Abiquiu surrounded by beautiful mesas and forests perfect for walks and hikes.

Fans of Georgia O'Keeffe may be interested in Georgia O'Keeffe and the Ghost Ranch Landscape Tour, exploring the scenes and actual locations of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings, offered by Ghost Ranch Abiquiu. The tour runs through mid-November. O'Keeffe's house in the Abiquiu village is open to visitors by appointment on a limited basis. For more information, see The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum Website.

From June through October, The Abiquiu Inn hosts a weekly Lecture Series. Artists, writers, photographers, scientists, and historians will share their knowledge and expertise in order to stimulate a lively exchange of creative ideas.

We look forward seeing all of you this year. Come and enjoy the berries, fruits and vegetables at Las Parras.

Hasta la vista!
